Although it was already a case closed, with Elena’s father being the sole culprit, it’s such a fun ride to theorize and deduce that it’s been done by a third party.
What if Elena’s father has been set up and he was innocent all along? How would that affect Christian and Elena and their blooming romance? And who was the real culprit?
Just imagine how it would turn the movie in a completely opposite direction if such truth did exist.
The other favorite plot that I must point out is how and when Christian began falling in love with Elena. It’s a denied truth that he’s always adored her from the start. If they only had met under different circumstances, it would have turned into a casual, loving relationship.
Due to the rage he’s been feeling, he couldn’t entertain the idea that Elena’s innocent. It’s ironic for him to constantly want Elena wherein he couldn’t even make it without puking at the sight of her. Elena became his karma and the harsh consequences of his poor, impulsive choices.
I liked how in order to make him realize Elena’s worth, Christian has to suffer and yearn for her greatly. Doing so made their romance an irrevocable, infinite attraction that would surely end the right way.
