Part 1: What’s Up with Marcus and Hazel in Swimming My Way Back to You?
Swimming My Way Back to You plot revolves around Hazel, a smart girl, and doctor of the swimming team. She’s compassionate and caring, looking out for the team’s star athlete when he is at his lowest.
Marcus is a promising swimmer, striving to become the best of the best. He gets a setback when Zoe, the woman he loves, dumps him and moves abroad to marry someone else.
Marcus finds comfort in Hazel’s arms and for three full years they are secretly seeing each other. When Marcus turns cold towards the team doctor, she understands that Zoe is back. And indeed, Zoe returns, she’s divorced, she’s back on the swimming team and she wants Marcus back.
And Marcus, as a foolishly mesmerized by love, gullible guy, dotes on Zoe again, casting Hazel aside. Only his plans are overturned when Hazel tells him she’s pregnant.
Although Marcus goes MIA for a whole month after learning about her pregnancy, he goes berserk when his cousin Ethan professes his love and willingness to marry Hazel. Even more, Ethan is ready to raise the kid as his own.
In a fit of rage, Marcus confronts Ethan and takes Hazel away straight to the city hall. Don’t hold your breath though! He’s got the nerve to ask Hazel to maintain their married status only on paper. He’ll still handle his personal life as he pleases.
Even if it’s obvious that Marcus gravitates around Zoe, the girl still doubts his fidelity. After all, around Hazel, he is reluctant to kiss Zoe or make any bold move. So, obviously, Zoe suspects there might be something more between the swimming athlete star and the team’s doctor.
Amidst all the turmoil, Hazel has constant support from Ethan, her colleague from work and Marcus’ cousin. Ethan wants nothing more than to be together with Hazel.

Hazel Miller is played by the wonderful actress Tess Dinerstein, known for starring in How to Tame a Silver Fox and Surrender to My Professor.
Hazel is an attending doctor for the swimming team. She’s in a secret relationship with Marcus Stark, the team’s star. She loves the guy, but he’s cold and aloof, never showing his true feelings.
When Hazel got involved with Marcus, she knew that his heart belonged to Zoe, but she still plunged forward in this relationship. When Marcus starts hanging out with Zoe again, Hazel backs down and breaks up with the gut, but unexpected news makes her change her mind.
She is pregnant with Marcus and wants nothing more than to offer her child a real family. Is Marcus stepping up or will Ethan take his place?

Shayne Davis, the star of Pregnant and Spoiled by a Billionaire, plays Swimming My Way Back to You main character, Marcus Stark. He’s a professional swimming athlete with a broken heart and a secret lover.

Should you watch Swimming My Way Back to You? Before I give you my honest opinion, let’s list some aspects that I believe make this drama a hit movie.
It’s a love triangle romance. Well, not just one, but two. On the one hand, there’s the Hazel-Marcus-Zoe triangle. Hazel loves Marcus, Marcus loves Zoe, and Zoe loves herself. Not quite what you expected, right? But the thing is that Zoe is possessive, and she considers Marcus as her own personal boy toy. She can’t let him go.
On the other hand, there’s the Hazel-Marcus-Ethan triangle. Hazel loves Marcus, and Ethan loves Hazel. Although Ethan seems to be the right person for Hazel, he’s unsuccessful.
Then there’s the pregnancy theme here. Does the baby bring Marcus and Hazel together? Yes, he does, but apparently, he does so for all the wrong reasons. Marcus seems to be possessive of his kid, not wanting Ethan to raise his son. He doesn’t do so because he wants Hazel.
But we can read between the lines and it’s obvious that he is jealous, only he doesn’t want to admit it.
You have to watch Swimming My Way Back to You. It’s a beautiful drama of selfless love, family, and a second chance.
