In Accidental Surrogate for Alpha episode 1, Ella was told she might never have a baby unless she gets inseminated. She wanted a family with her boyfriend, Mike and she wanted the baby to be his. After being advised to get a donor and get inseminated, Ella dressed to go back home. While dressing up, Dominic walked in on Ella.

In Accidental Surrogate for Alpha episode 2, Ella was scared as hell to see Dominic in her room. He was a powerful billionaire werewolf and everyone knew him. Ella hated wolves and so Demonic wasn't exempted. She left the hospital to get home, away from Dominic. On reaching home, she caught her boyfriend, Mike, with her best friend.

While Ella thought she couldn't have a baby, Mike revealed to Ella in Accidental Surrogate for Alpha episode 3 that he had been putting birth control pills in her drinks. Ella went back to the hospital and told the doctor that she wanted to go ahead with the insemination. She was ready to have her baby and raise it alone.
