When she learns she has six months to live due to terminal brain cancer, she decides to be true to herself and not let anyone walk all over her. But soon Evelyn is shocked to know that Jasper loves her.

But Jasper cares more about Ruby, Evelyn's sister and doesn't show any interest in their anniversary. Evelyn is mocked by her mother-in-law Sarah who hates her. Story takes a turn as Evelyn's health deteriorates, and she ends up in the hospital.

However Ruby answers Jasper's phone and informs Evelyn that Jasper is in the shower and lies about them being at a hotel. She meets with the homeless man who asks her to take her crying session elsewhere. When Evelyn reveals about her life being a tragedy, the homeless person asks her not to care as she has only six months to live. Evelyn decides to be her true self and be done with people walking all over her.

Instead of bothering to care, Evelyn decides to teach her boss a lesson. Kevin throws his iPad at Evelyn and asks her to pick it up. But Evelyn decides to stand up for herself.

Kevin threatens to fire her, but Evelyn challenges him by throwing a file at his face. Angered by Evelyn's actions, Kevin calls out for security to throw Evelyn out, but Evelyn informs that Kevin is the one who is getting fired.

However, Kevin refuses to accept his termination and tries to pull his connection with Sarah Williams to save his job. But Evelyn calls out Kevin for using his connection to mistreat people at work.

But Evelyn clarifies that as Jasper's wife she owns 50% of the company, and she can fire a useless middle management if she likes. When Sarah attempts to rub off on her troubled marriage, Evelyn agrees that Jasper doesn't love her but clarifies that she doesn't care as she leaves insulting Sarah in front of the employees.
