Alice claims that the company was started by her mother, and she is the rightful heir to it. Alice's father asks to meet her husband to prove her marriage.

He's mocked by Alice's stepmom and sister, who make fun of him for his clothes and for coming empty-handed. Alice's father declares he doesn't approve of Leo and asks her to seek a divorce. Alice refuses as she leaves, stating she will claim back what is hers.

Flash-Married and Utterly Spoiled episode 8 introduces to all the trouble Alice was put through in her life after losing her mother at the age of six and how her father favored her sister over her. Knowing her past, Leo promises Alice to stand up for her and protect her Alice promises not to tolerate her bully family as she apologizes to Leo for the mistreatment.
