Helen Lambert was a boxing champion, but got locked up for killing her daughter’s abusive boyfriend. After getting released, Helen moved in with her granddaughter, Joy, at the house she left for her now deceased daughter. Here she immediately ran into trouble with the Waynes, a family of resident tormentors. Helen learned to push back against the bullies without scaring Joy and slowly restored peace to her neighborhood.
